What will you do?

Workplace: at your client’s, Geo office/hub, at home

As a Data Analyst at Geo Solutions, you will make location data insightful for our clients. A background in the broad world of geo is not necessary, but your heart may skip a beat when seeing X, Y and Z’s.

Some of your duties include:

• You translate business needs into data requirements, and you can communicate them clearly.
• You will perform in-depth and qualitative analysis on complex data sets and convert the findings into clear reports.
• You estimate the potential of use cases through initial exploratory screening. In doing so, you put on both skeptical and opportunistic glasses.
• You track technological developments and actively share your knowledge with internal and external colleagues.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or a scientific field
• At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst or similar role
• Strong in Python with experience in (Geo)Pandas, NumPy, Folium, DuckDB, Polars, …
• Experienced in SQL and ETL processes
• Skilled with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Superset) preferably with geographic data
• Experience with big data (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Knowledge of AI/ML (TensorFlow, Torch, Keras) is a plus
• Fluent Dutch and English are a given
