Vacancy: Business developer

Our company is growing, so we are expanding our team. We are looking for a driven Business developer in Consultancy who will further expand the Belgian market together with the sales team.

Can you look back on great experience in a commercial role? Are you constantly looking for new opportunities with new and existing customers? Are you a born negotiator and networker? Do you have a passion for location data and are you fascinated by mapping solutions? If you answer yes to all the above questions, we would like to meet you.

What will you do?

Through your conviction, you inspire our clients of the valuable contribution our location-based services can make in making better and informed business decisions. Our consultants have a wealth of knowledge and expertise around building location-based solutions.

Some of your duties include:

  • You are constantly looking for new and potential clients. You will be responsible for acquiring your own client and prospect portfolio with a focus on medium to large companies.
  • You will be responsible for preparing quotes, negotiating, closing and following up on partnership agreements.
  • You will actively participate in trade shows and networking events.
  • You will work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns that increase visibility and demand for our services.
  • By using cross- and upselling you obtain new contacts and projects at existing customers. In consultation with the Account Manager you guide them in making the right business decisions.
  • You will report to the Sales Manager.

What do we expect from you?

  • You earned a higher education bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a commercial position.
  • Knowledge or affinity for geo-related topics is an asset.
  • In addition, you have an interest in the contribution and insights that geographic data can provide to business decisions.
  • You can demonstrate successful sales tracks in selling consulting expertise.
  • Through your drive and commercial creativity, you manage to convince companies of your idea.
  • You are Dutch-speaking and express yourself fluently in English.
